Getting Here & Parking
Mt Eden Village is a charming town centre on Mt Eden Rd (an arterial road). Mt Eden Village is in central Auckland, around five kilometres south of the Auckland CBD, and close to the motorway network. If you wish to visit the mountain, please refer to the information here on Maungawhau which includes parking recommendations.
Clearways
Clearways operate on Mt Eden Rd from Monday to Friday, between 7-10am (heading north towards Auckland CBD) and between 4-7pm (heading south towards Three Kings).
Clearways also operate on Stokes Rd (on both sides of the road) from Monday to Friday, between 7-9am and between 4.30-5.30pm.
If you park in the clearways when they are operational, your vehicle will be towed away.
Car parking
Mt Eden Village has around 300 car parks. There are free and paid off-street and on-street parking options, including mobility parking, with a range of parking time options. Please be mindful of where you park and the time you need. Avoid being towed (for parking in a clearway or parking too close to a driveway) or earning a parking ticket (for overstaying the time allowance), which would spoil your visit.
For visits under 60 minutes more than half of Mt Eden Village’s car parks are P60 such as the on-street car parking on Mt Eden Rd and in the following side streets: Disraeli St, Essex Rd, Grange Rd, Ngauruhoe St, Oaklands Rd, Poronui St, Stokes Rd and Valley Rd.
For visits up to 120 minutes, P120 car parks are available in Fairview Rd, Newnham Lane and Woodside Rd.
For visits up to 180 minutes, a few P180 car parks are available in Poronui St.
