Established in 1988, in the heart of Auckland's historic Mt Eden Village, Time Out Bookstore is renowned for its excellent and eclectic books, occasionally weird window displays, haven-like children's book room, and in-store cat. Owner/manager Wendy Tighe-Umbers and manager Jenna Todd will answer your questions, recommend their favourite books and order for you any title that is not already on their shelves. Not only helpful - Time Out is also award-winning - in 2016 and 2017 they were Bookstore of the Year in the Booksellers NZ Book Industry Awards. They have won Best Large Retailer at the Albert-Eden Business Awards three years in a row, and in 2017 were one of three bookstores shortlisted for the London Book Fair's Bookstore of the Year.
