Mt Eden Village Centre News

October is Heritage Festival time in Auckland and we welcome you to Mt Eden Village and the Centre to check out classes and events in our beautiful Heritage buildings. We also look towards the festive and wedding season with information about booking our rooms during this time.

The Mt Eden Village Craft Market is here on the second Saturday of every month. On Saturday 13th October, pop in from 10.00am to 4.00pm. With fewer than 3 months to Xmas, the Market will solve your gift dilemmas with interesting stalls to browse. A feature of the Market is that items are handmade in New Zealand by expert crafters. It's a great opportunity to support local artists and find loads of beautiful handmade treasures and tasty treats, perfect for yourself or to gift.

Our regular Mt Eden Wellbeing Market is here on the last Saturday of every month. This month it is Saturday 27th October from 10.00am to 3.00pm. Central Auckland's regular monthly mind, body and spirit Market has natural health therapies, advice and nutritional support, on-site massage, natural first aid kits and home remedies and much, much more. This is Babywearing Month Aotearoa. To celebrate, Boogie Mamas is running a promotion of first class FREE during the month of October here in our Hall. Weekly classes are on Thursdays at 10.00am. All parents with baby in a carrier, as well as pregnant mums, are welcome. Weekly classes are only $10.

Our Yoga classes with Grace continue weekly until the end of the year. These popular classes are on Tuesdays at 6.30pm, Wednesdays at 9.30am and Thursdays at 6.00pm in the Village Centre Hall. Get a jumpstart on those New Year's Resolutions by coming along this month. Classes are a very reasonable $15.

After a short break our popular Baby Sensory classes start again on Tuesday 9th October and Pform.nz childrens performance school restarts on Tuesday 16th October. Visit Baby Sensory and Pform to book or for more information.

The Heritage Festival Mt Eden by Tram Exhibition (free) is here in the Foyer on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th October from 9.00am to 9.00pm. The Mixed Media Presentation (koha) is on Wednesday 10th October from 7.30pm to 9.00pm in the Church. Presented by the Auckland Electric Tramways Trust, we are really looking forward to having something a little different here at the Village Centre and encourage you to visit. Bring the kids, bring friends and family, grandparents and all to this very distinctive and entertaining two day Exhibition and Wednesday evening Presentation. Coffee with a Cop will be here on Thursday 11th October from 10.00am to 12.00noon. Pop in and have a chat to our local Community Police Officer, they would love to meet you and talk about what is going on in your neighbourhood.

The Mt Eden Methodist Church Charitable Trust would like to invite you to their AGM on Monday 15th October from 6.00pm to 7.00pm in the Church. The Trust runs the Mt Eden Village Centre and Trustees are representatives from Auckland Council, the Community and Methodist Central Parish. Please RSVP to attend.

The Mt Eden Methodist Congregation invites you to join them every Sunday in their beautiful historic Church. Services are held at 10.00am with tea afterwards in the Lounge. On the 3rdSunday of every month we have the Fiji-Indian Fellowship worship service at 3.00pm. Everyone is welcome.
