
Claudia Pond Eyley - Stokes Rd Public Toilet 2004. - This mosaic mural was commissioned by Auckland City Council in 2004. Each of the mosaic tiles have been created by the end children from Mt Eden Normal Primary School under the design guidence of Claudia.
Claudia Pond Eyley - Mural on the side of Frasers Cafe, corner of Stokes and Mt Eden Rd. - This colourful mural was first painted around 30 years ago by Claudia. It was commissioned by the then Mt Eden Borough Council and upgraded 10 years later with assistance from the Maungawhau Mt Eden Community Arts Trust (Eden Arts). Claudia has been seen on many occasions over the years on her ladder working on this mural repairing weather-damaged paintwork.
Richard Wedekind - 'Bystanders' - Located in Essex Reserve - Installed in June 2010. Made from corten steel, the artist decription is 'Bystanders is a sculpture comprising three figures. They have a common focus and interest in their immediate environment and the activity surrounding them'.
Peter Lange - 'Tahuri' - Located on the corner of Naguruhoe St and Mt Eden Rd. Tahuri married into the Waiohua people of Tamaki and she became legendary for her kumara gardens. Installed in 2013 this sculpture features three super-sized kumara rendered in brick and pipe fragments in the artist's signature playful style.
Carin Wilson - 'Pou' - Located on the southern slope of Maungawhau near Owens Rd. This sculpture, or pou, marks the pathway connecting Maungawhau with a sacred site at PouHawakiki, about 200m south of the pou. This pathway has connections with Maungakiekie (One Tree Hill) and the Manukau Harbour. This Maori 'pou' recognises the cultural importance of the area to the first people of this land.
