Being a food technologist and now a chef, I use my knowledge and creative flair to either create completely new recipes or to bring out the aroma and flavor notes from the existing ones. I believe the key to flavorsome food is fresh vegetables, herbs, meat and spices. I have fond memories of my mother using fresh ingredients to prepare all meals. Eating these meals together not only strengthened our family bond but it also provided a daily time for the whole family to be together.
This inspired me to create a place of gathering for families and friends to share their stories and laughter and most importantly create a place to share nutritious, honest, comfort food that takes you back to your childhood memories and helps you create new memories with your loved ones. At SITARA, we prepare all base sauces and gravies daily from scratch using fresh and local produce. Encouraging innovation, my team at SITARA, continuously searches for contemporary dishes without altering traditional recipes to make the menu more interesting for our patrons.
We start with food in its simplest, most natural form. We purchase local and seasonal produce and complement it with cooking techniques that not only preserve nutrition but also produces healthy dishes. We care about our guests and what they like. The result? Our food is well made, the flavors are real, and well delivered.
Our goal is to educate our staff, customers, and vendors about the food experience and its effect on our physical and spiritual health, and on our environment.
